Natucare was built to be a bridge — between research and industry, tradition and modern science, India's botanical wealth and the world's demand for validated natural products.
India gave the world Ayurveda, medicinal plants, and centuries of traditional knowledge. The next contribution is scientific leadership — in phytoconstituent intelligence and standardization. That's the movement Natucare is part of.
Our goal isn't just to supply ingredients — it's to set standards. Not just to do research — but to turn it into innovation people can trust.
Our Story
Every great journey begins with a question. For Dr. Poonam Agrawal, it was this:
"If India has one of the richest medicinal plant resources in the world, why aren't we leading the world in phytoconstituent science?"
Years of research, lab work, field studies, and conversations with farmers, manufacturers, and students revealed the answer: India had the plants, the knowledge, and the researchers — but a gap kept it all from reaching the people who needed it. Research stayed locked in journals. Industries struggled to standardize. Promising ideas never made it to market.
After completing her Doctorate in Herbal and Natural Products, Dr. Poonam chose to close that gap herself.
About the Founder
Dr. Poonam Agrawal is the Founder and Director of Natucare Herbessence. A doctorate holder in Herbal and Natural Product Sciences, she has spent her career working at the intersection of phytochemistry, standardization, and applied research — work that has included peer-reviewed contributions to academic publications in the field, alongside hands-on industry and academic collaboration across research, training, and product development. She has been awarded with government research grants from ICMR, UGC, AICTE, MOFPI, etc. Under her guidance, Natucare was awarded with top 100 startup in India by Maharashtra Startup Innovation Cell, Government of Maharashtra. She has successfully completed and scaled up phytoconstituent isolation technology related international projects.
